Polls are Still Open

FYI-the polls are still open! Number Twelve has requested that I keep them open. For those who are not aware, please see the previous post regarding the poll.

A special thanks to those who have voted so far. The comments are appreciated as well, especially by Number Twelve.

Yes, Tab, I was amazed too at the fact that I was able to add a poll. That was the 3rd one I had tried and succeeded at adding to Blogger. (Number Twelve was impressed as well, weren't ya honey?).

I was fortunate to get a call from no other than Smooch Dog also known as Safety Officer aka Mr. Number Twelve. (I am unable at the moment to get his picture up.) He of course called about the poll. Wow, I'm getting famous here, especially from a man who doesn't even read his wife's blog. He says he is going to cast a vote, we'll see. I gotta love him for calling. He has always been behind me since the whole "divorce" thing. Who would have known that my oldest and dearest friend would marry someone that attended the same high school as me?

For those of us bloggers who are addicted to our own blogs as well as others, we can understand Number Twelve's contemplation. Sometimes we get too wrapped up in commenting like checking to see who has responded to our writing, what they have to say, or even just to see how many comments have been left. Add having a stat counter to that, and well, a little more frustration can occur. As a blogger we can see how many people visit our site, where they are visiting from, links that lead them to us, etc, etc, etc.

Number Twelve, we have discussed this often and I have no more to say except that I support whatever decision you make. Although you do know darn well that I sure ain't gonna click that "e-mail me" link.

I'm a bit embarassed here, but the man who has shown up naked (ahem) is my husband.

He not only hasn't shown the common decency to clothe himself, BUT he doesn't even use his REAL Internet alias... Smooch Dog.

happened to me as well.....like I just used to blog to exhale everything inside of me....then pwople started reading up and said...'huh???"...like why???...course'...i was happy...till i found me'self wanting to see the comments time and again...and had to tell myself...coooome ooon...meee'....came to a point when i had to think twice if i wanted to really post what i'd written....kinda' like...what would the neighbors say about this??...right now...i just blog....i like zee' comments...but guess have grown to realize that blogging is simply me' own self expression...to be appreciated is nice...but..can't let it define my own cyber home...

i think ur' friend out to keep the comment up...just to connect to people...

in my profile i wrote..." a few intimate souls"...and that's what the world gave back to me through me' bloggy...

The man who showed up naked was your husband and you still had time to post about it?

I for one leave the comments on but never respond to them (or their questions) unless they send their email address too. ~ jb///

You cant let comments rule your site. I recently had a long running comment which actually required far more work than the original post! I think comments are important to tell you who is reading (or in my case NOT reading) your site.

I can relate to the blogging addiction and obsession. I try my best to make the rounds, but am never 100% perfect. That is ok, it is just enough to still feel the love and get to know everyone little by little.

Like everything that can become an
addiction, we have to enjoy blogging in moderation too.It is really easy to forget that I know!
Have a fab weekend Butterflygirl!

The poll really out to be whether the nick of your nick should be "butter" as I've seen some use, or "flygirl".

What an interesting idea to NOT have comments. I totally understand why Number 12 would do that...but it's also good to hear feed back from friends and readers. Maybe she could do it on a trial basis. ;)

Hope all is GREAT with you Mia. ;)
