What's Happening...

Wow, here it is February! Valentine's Day...my birthday...the shortest month of the year.

I have been surviving taking classes, keeping up with my workload, and staying sane in my job. Let's not forget, being a mom.

I had my son's conference last week. Good as always. The assessments at this early age always seem to amaze me. My little guy is one who is above the rest and I sure hope it stays that way. He just loves school. If all works out, I plan on sending him to a school with full day kindergarten. I would like to send him to an academy in the area, however it is not accredited and being a public school teacher, that is somewhat important to me.

The weather has been brutal this past week. We were definitely spoiled this past winter with it being so mild. Fortunately the groundhog saw his shadow and spring will be here in 6 weeks.

Last but not least...the Super Bowl is tomorrow. Let's go Bears!!!

I don't know about that groundhog business. Has anyone ever done a study to see how accurate he is?

Oh, good luck with the Bears;)

Fly girl. . . both my girls went to private accreditated schools. .. . I stressed about schools being accreditated, but then I saw so many successful home school kids getting into college. I would bet research shows that it is not the accredation that is the important thing, but the curriculum.

I've been by a few times, glad to see a post.

I think your son will do good as long as you keep on him. Kids will slack if given the opportunity. Take it from me.

It is good that you are still fluttering away. It is wonderful your little man enjoys school. I loved it too, it was a great way to feel a part of something.
