Tribute

I have been thinking about September 11th quite a bit lately. That date happens to fall two weeks from today. It was five years ago when our nation was impacted by such terror.

I remember it so clearly. My husband at the time was calling me to inform me of the devastation that was happening in America. Also, at the time, I had a one month old baby. There were so many thoughts that were going through my mind. I couldn’t sleep and I was filled with fear, as I watched MSNBC non-stop.

Be sure to check my blog on 9/11 as I write a tribute remembering Marcia G. Cecil-Carter.

Fly girl. . . I called my husband years ago. . . I called my children's school. . . I was working and we turned on a tv in an empty room. . . . I will never forget that day.

I'll never forget that morning. I got a call from a friend at 5 am (around there) and she told me to turn on the TV. Then as we were watching together - the second tower was hit before our eyes. I really thought I was dreaming for awhile, wish I would have been :(

I'll have tribute up that day too.

It is one of those days no one can or will forget. Funny we are having our furniture moved that day and I feel like I am doing something wrong by continuing my life as usual and not taking a day of mourning... I will definitely reflect, and I will move my belongings as well. After all, life goes on as it should.
