Summer Vacation Update

Wow-what can I say? Spending time with a 4 year-old who is almost 5 is just so much fun, not to mention exhausting!

We have our pajama days. Who likes to get dressed and ready for the day when you have no place to go?

We've been to Starbucks, quite a few times. I just can't resist that banana coconut frappuccino. I have been hooked on these banana fraps since they came out.

The bike rack I ordered finally came in so my little guy and I can go hit the trails.
I need to mention I broke it the first day I tried putting my bike on it. The dealer was so great and replaced the arm for me.

Once the bike rack came in I took my bike for a complete overhaul. Long story short...I got a new bike.
And I just love it!!! It rides so nice, much better than my older bike. Not to mention this bike is much easier to put on the bike rack.
T-Ball has started. Practices are on Mondays. My little guy has been moved up to the 6-7 year old age group. He plays at the local YMCA, so it is not a competitive league. His skills are just more advanced than the younger age group.

We attend the story hour at the library on Wednesdays. This enables me to get some quiet reading time, you know without any disturbances.

My little man has ventured on the slip and slide. As you can see he has had fun.

If only he enjoyed swimming lessons as much as he does the slip and slide. Lessons are on Thursdays and he is getting much better.

Bubbles, bubbles, and more bubbles!

My little guy is pretty good with the camera, huh?

We watched
Number Twelve's three girls. My little man was a great helper. He is very protective of the twins.

We have had lunch at McDonald's with friends or just the two of us.

Let's not forget going to the show. We went and saw the movie
Cars. We also went to the old theatre in town and saw Hoot.

Play-dates have been occurring as well as constantly being scheduled.

It has been great!

I can't beleive how much you and your little guy remind me of me and my little guy about 10 years ago - right down to the bikes, slip n slide and not liking swim lessons. Your guy is a doll. Glad to hear you are staying busy and enjoying summer. My baby got a car yesterday (a real one - not a toy!) and my life will never be the same!!!!

(Those little girls sure are cuities!)

I love the picture of him in the baseball uniform. . . . you can keep that picture in your mind as he grows. I am glad that your little man is having fun, and that mom got a new bike. I feel your pain when it comes to figuring out how to put things together. . . each little thing I do is a huge boost in my ego and my ability to tackle the next project.
Bravo to you and your little man. . . . enjoy the summer.
Ciao

Slip and slides are THE BEST!!!! I had 2 of them going for the party Sat and it entertained 50, 13 year old kids!!!

Sounds like a great summer over there!! I am picturing lemonaid and a porch swing! lol

This is such a wonderful visual post. Your little man is so darn cute! He looks too cute in that baseball uniform. You are a busy bee, where do you get your energy from? I think it is great that you get to be a kid to by participating in all the fun. What a fun Mom!

PS. I too just tried the new banana coconut frap at Starbucks. OMG, I cannot get enough of it. I don't even like coconut. One day they had mini samples and I tried one. I am Hooked!!!
