Waiting for the Weekend

Alright, it is only Tuesday and I am definitely ready for the weekend. Finals begin tomorrow, however a few teachers gave tests today which threw my colleague and I into a tinzy as we were trying to give finals as well as teach classes, hold case conferences, and deal with some unruly students. Actually that is a normal day, yet we are also getting ready for a manifest determination conference which will determine if there is a causal relationship between the act committed and the disability of the student, and it will also determine whether the school can proceed with an expulsion. This angers many general ed teachers, however it is the law. It is a lot of paperwork and we have to make sure all the i's are dotted as well as the t's crossed. I became a pro with these types of conferences last year when many of my freshman fell into that boat. It was also brought to my attention that a former student will be returning, let's hope this student has changed.

So I anticipate a weekend of relaxation and doing absolutely nothing as my little man is with his father.

I often forget how nutty your "typical" work days can be. :\
