How He Loves School

I just want to share a conversation I had with my little man this evening in the car.

"How was school?"
"Good."
"What'd you do?"
"Nothing."

Do pre-schooler's know how much that irks us when we ask them something and they respond nothing? In the meantime I am reminding my little man that tomorrow after Tinkerbell's we will go to swimming lessons and then to basketball practice. Thank goodness both are in the same building.

"I don't want to go to Tinkerbell's. I want to go to school."
"I'm sorry my little man, but you don't go to school tomorrow."
"Yes I do."
"No you don't."
"Uh huh."
"Tomorrow is B's turn to go to school." (A friend of his at Tinkerbell's)
"If I don't go to school they (his teachers) will say...my little man, get to school right now or else you will be in trouble."
He continues.
"Then the police are going to pick me up and put me in the cage."

First I honestly wonder what he is talking about with a cage...then it hits me...jail. I then realize me spooking him with the police taking him to jail if he steals something may now have an affect on him. Is this good or bad?

What an amazing feeling it is that a child loves school. Hope it lasts forever. Too bad the mother f***er won't help pay for it since he doesn't think it is necessary.

To a great week everyone!
