Ah, where in the world did the weekend go?
Friday night the little guy and I went out with a friend of his to see Bolt and redeem his Book-it at Pizza Hut. We then went over to Kohl's so the little guy could find something for his father and grandparents. Granny was easy-pjs, Gramps, well, not so easy. We may just need to hit Costco for a gift card.
Saturday morning we woke up to snow and had to be at the school for an early basketball game. After making numerous shots, his coach told the little guy he needed to be the all-time passer for the rest of the game. After making two more shots, he then listened to his coach. It was Kid's Workshop at Home Depot, so we quickly made it over there for the little guy to have some Gramps bonding time. He then went home with Gramps and I ran some errands. In the evening we attended church service.
Today, we went to Chicago for our annual Santa visit. I miss Marshal Field's-Macy's just isn't the same. We had breakfast at the Walnut Room on the 7th floor and then waited forever to see Santa. Never, in eight years, have we had to wait so long to see the man in red. Many people, who have this same long-time tradition as us, couldn't believe the wait either. The little guy asked for Mario Kart, Guitar Hero-World Tour, and some race cars. We also took our picture for our Christmas cards, so I hope to have those out in the mail by the next weekend.
Enjoy your week!
