The Weekend Is Over

It sure has been a busy week/weekend. It was homecoming week at school. It is always fun to dress up on those wacky dress up days. This year some of the teachers participated in a dance (Soldier Boy) before the "real" dance team at the pep rally-it really pumped up the crowd. I helped with some of the activities during the week and chaperoned the dance. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and the school spirit was alive!

Soccer is finally over for the little man. He got his trophy and is ready for basketball to begin-which is this coming Friday. There are still three more weeks of football. I'll be glad when he's down to one sport again. I don't think he gets as run down as I do, but I am the one running here and there, working, maintaining the house, etc. I'm not complaining, but sometimes during the school year it gets tough doing it all alone.

Speaking of the little guy, he got one yellow card this week. It happened on Monday-wrestling on the carpet. I have to say when he goes all out, he definitely makes it worth it to change his color. The teacher mentioned that she notices a difference in his behavior every other week. Obviously I'm talking about those weeks when he has returned from his dad's. It is just something we will have to get through.

Sadly, the Cub's are out of the playoffs. Let's see how the Bear's do tonight.

Have a great week!

Your son will adjust. . . . the teacher needs to understand why. . . . and you do a good job of giving him activities to use up lots of his own frustrations. You really are doing the best you can possible do for him.
Ciao

We were rooting for the Cubs to win but Arizona just over powered them. Thursday night we can watch the D-backs play the Rockies and see what happens there. I hate to see the baseball season coming to an end, but our team was so far out of the race that I just pray for a decent pitching staff next year....

How funny, I opened your blog and saw MY FACE staring at me, it startled me for a second! I tried to put one of those guest books on my blog but it didn't fit right, bummer.
