Time to Report

Yesterday I got the letter informing me that I need to report to work on Monday, August 20th. So there it was, an official letter letting me know that my summer vacation was soon to be over. I am not ready to go back. I'm ready for my little guy to go back, but not me. There are still some projects I wanted to complete here at home. I haven't been able to accomplish them because my father is going through some medical issues right now. He is my right hand when I'm doing things in my house, so I have had to put these projects on hold.

My little guy registered for school on Tuesday. I can not believe he is going to be in kindergarten. He has met two of his classmates already-both girls-isn't he lucky? We're all set up for before and after school care. He'll continue to go to the 1st choice room at the Y in the morning as he did last year before pre-school. They'll then transport him to his school. He'll then be able to participate in the extended care program at his own school after school. My only concern at the moment is how exhausted he will be after a full day of school. It can be such an adjustment. A good note to add is that his father has agreed to alter parenting time during the week from 4:00-8:00, he generally visited with him from 5:00-9:00.

Last year - Little One adjusted well. Somedays she was tired and somedays she was ready to go all day. I think it was more a "how much sleep did she get the night before" than how long her day was. Good Luck and have fun watching him grow!

Yikes..! What'cha gonna do ? You better hurry up and rest up for the rest of your holidays.lol
The projects can wait till next year..lol
Your son will love school! I am sure he will adjust to the scheduling routine just fine. And know when he gets cranky it is out of exhaustion for having too much fun so maybe take Sundays off to hang around the homefront/couch :)

Gosh, your schools start back early. Ours don't start back until the start of September.

I'm sure you'll make the most of the time you have left.

Teachers always seem to get great holidays. Maybe I should switch career. Maybe not. Can't say I could cope with kids all day/week/month/year. You probably need the breaks.

I think it is wonderful that you and his dad are working together to make sure your little man gets the best. Very adult, mature and it says so much about you.
