Winding Down

Finally, a weekend alone. Well, 48 hours to myself, how about that? It has been some time since I have had that. Why is it that the time my little guy is with his father it goes by way too fast? Honestly, sometimes I feel I just need a longer break.

Summer is about over. Three more weeks and off to school I/we go. That means there has to be some structure within our daily lives. Yuk! I have already implemented being in bed by 9:30 (for my little man, not me). That gives me three weeks to go down in 30 minute increments. Wish me luck.

Bible school begins next week so that will help with a bedtime routine as well as a morning one. Hopefully it will put me in some type of groove.

I have one more adventurous trip planned for me and my little guy before school starts. I wanted to share these.

You're little one is absolutely adorable!!! And sigh, didn't summer just start? I can see the malls putting up designs for fall/winter. Why must everyone always rush time this way?

You know you have one little handsome guy on your hands. Not only is he a cutie pie but he is being raised with so much love and values. What are you to do when the ladies come after him??? Well I am sure we will get to hear those stories. For now your job is just to enjoy him.

I cannot beleive how fast summer time has come and gone, wowsers. All the pix of your adventures are so enjoyed.

You know what? I appreciate you sharing that about sometimes you feel like you need more of a break. I feel that way sometimes (then feel guilty for thinking it) but it is true. We do so much and get little or no thanks for it and I don't want to ever be a martyr. Soemtimes I feel I just need a break. But at the same time I wouldn't trade my children for the world. Kind of an oxy-moron. But I'm sure you understand....

My wife used to volunteer to work VBS every summer. She loved working with all of those kids. The kids seem to love it too. The one thing they ALL liked was "Snack-Time!" ~ jb///
