I Need Tranquility
The end of February has arrived. Once again I am not sure where the time has gone. I've skimmed through your blogs, but yet I feel so out of touch with all of you right now. Tomorrow we'll be busy with a workshop at Home Depot and a birthday party at Jump and Fun (inflatables). Calgon take me away.

So, It Was My Birthday
It has been almost a week since I last posted. Where has the time gone? Thank you to you special bloggers for my birthday wishes last Monday. It turned into a week of celebration. Monday with my son...and we were off school so how perfect was that? Tuesday at school with the students. Friday with some teachers at lunch and happy hour. Saturday with some friends for dinner and a night in the city. I am birthdayed out!
The little guy is finally himself-thank goodness. That was the best birthday present I could ask for.

Spring Soon
Back to work tomorrow. My three day weekend and the little man's four day weekend has ended. We relaxed, played lots of Wii, and cleaned. I hate to say it, but I am ready for spring break. The sun has been out more and more but it is cold, cold, cold. I'm tired of winter--it sure has been a rainy and windy one too. I'm ready for those sandals I saw at Target.

Feeling Better
Finally-the fever is gone. The little guy slept through Friday night without waking up with a fever. He has a little cough going though. Thank you all for your kind words and warm wishes.

Still Burning
Yes, the fever is still here. Not as high, but still here. Last check at 4 AM was 101.The little guy tested positive for the flu on Tuesday at the doctor's office. Had we gone in sooner, it could have been treated, but how did I know it was the flu? No vomiting, no diarrhea. Plus, his previous doctor would have recommended waiting another day or so before bringing him in.
She did mention that many children who received the flu mist vaccine (yes, we opted for the mist vs shot) have been coming in and testing positive for the flu as well. It could always be worse.
Thank goodness Walgreens has ibuprofen on sale-buy one get one free.

Feverish
The little man has been brewing a fever. The average temp has been about 102. It has lasted more than 24 hours, so I put a call in to the doctor. I'm so glad that he is on my insurance now and can see the same physician as me. She is super. In fact, when she saw the little guy once before and knew I would be paying cash for services, she charged me a nominal fee. Bless her heart. Anyways, after the mortrin kicks in, the fever goes down and then slowly rises. He also gets those rosy cheeks. He has slept most the day today. Gramps watched him this afternoon so I could work at least 1/2 day. Gotta love the grandparents.
