Oh, how I could use a couple of more days off. How many more days until Christmas vacation?
This Thanksgiving weekend has been great. My son and I spent Thanksgiving Day at my parent's house with my brother and his wife. Black Friday my little guy and I went to see Mr. Magorium's Wonderful Emporium. Saturday I did laundry, watched movies we rented, and cleaned up all of those fallen leaves. The weekend ended with a trip to Chicago to see Santa, have lunch at Grand Lux Cafe, and a trip to the Lego store.
The week ahead is already busy-however things are great- and I couldn't be happier!

I Am Thankful
I am thankful for the life that I have. Every day I thank God for the blessings He gives me.
Thank You God for:
a life that is healthy... a wonderful, handsome, brilliant son who brings me such joy each day...supportive, loving, giving parents who have and will always be there in my time of need...a job which enables me to support my family...a house that keeps me warm in the winter, cool in the summer, safe through the storms...a reliable car that gets me to my destinations...food in my stomach...clothes on my back...shoes on my feet...clean water to drink and to bathe...
I can go on and on because I never stop thanking Him.

A Saturday to Appreciate
A Saturday without commitments...it can''t get any better than that.
The morning began with my son singing a song to me, the same one I sing to him to wake him up in the morning. I didn't sleep well last night, so of course I was trying to catch all the zzz I could.
We lounged in our pajamas all day! We also played Chutes & Ladders, Candy Land, Memory, and Boggle Jr. The laundry is done, refrigerator cleaned out, the inside of the microwave is sparkling clean, kitchen floor mopped, and vacuuming complete.
A short week is ahead. The little man is lucky...he has the whole week off! I still need to finish shopping for Thanksgiving. This year we will be spending it at my parent's house.
Off to bed, I have a busy day at church tomorrow.

Wednesday Wonders
I was home by 5:15. That meant I was able to cook a meal, spend some quality time with my little guy, do my nails, mask my face, and write this post.
As I was driving through my neighborhood, I noticed a house that was already decorated with lights, red bows, and a Christmas tree in the window.
I received an overpayment check from the doctor. I only paid $66, but the check was for $100. How does that happen?
My Bare Escentuals arrived today from QVC. I just ordered it Saturday.
On Private Practice, Addison didn't hook up with Pete, however Naomi and Sam had some magic. I must admit, I didn't see that coming.
Going to bed before 10:00.

Helping Santa
An elf from Target informed Gramps Santa that if he intended to purchase a Wii for a little boy that he should be at Target first thing Sunday morning. Gramps Santa relayed the information to Mommy Santa. So began Operation Wii. Granny Santa was at her local Target bright and early Sunday as so was Mommy Santa. Mission accomplished. Mommy Santa was the first to complete the task. No more searching.

Time
Wow-a whole week and I haven't posted! Where is the time going? Here it is November and I am realizing that I need to get Christmas lists together. I need to plan when we are going to go see Santa in Chicago. Then, I'll have to order Christmas cards. But wait, what about Thanksgiving? What will we have for dinner? I wanted to do lamb chops. Side dishes and dessert will be easy. And then there's Black Friday. Oh my, can we stop the clocks?
