Okay, I'm still here, alive and well. I miss all of you and what has been happening.

Things have been so hectic lately. Finals were last week. Second semester began this week. I'm taking classes on Monday and Tuesday nights. Meetings taking place here and there.

To Miami...

Just Checking In

It has been so cold. Well, not really. It has just been a mild winter and we have been spoiled with some really nice weather up until a couple of weeks ago.

I was going to take my little man to the IMAX today to go see Night at the Museum, but he chose to go to McDonald's with his friend after school.

I totally went off my diet today...ouch!

Tuesday Thoughts

Hooray, the Bears won! I can't say I'm a die hard fan, but hey, they have had an awesome season. They'll march over those Saints!

No check yet. His employer, whose headquarters are based in Canada, now claim they didn't put enough postage on the envelope. They were suppose to overnight it today. We shall see. My next check is due this coming weekend, let's hope they put enough postage on that envelope. Besides, what happened to electronically depositing funds?

We finally got some snow. Not nearly enough to make a snowman, however enough to let my little guy wear his boots to make tracks in the snow. I can't forget to add throwing a few snowballs at me. Now it feels like winter!

Go Bears

Finally Friday

I spent over an hour uploading pictures to flickr and ended up deleting them by mistake. Yes, I know, it confirms whether you want to delete or not, but I goofed. Once I had my set together I then deleted the individual pictures-duh! So I gave up. I'm tired and I want to get a good nights sleep. I'm all alone, so no nightmares to deal with, kicks in the stomach, or someone telling me to get up in the morning.

The week ended pretty well. My ex-husband actually called me today about the child support check. (I have been calling him everyday this week to pester him about it.) Turns out, his employer said they mailed the check, however, the county says the check has not been received. The clerk at county said his employer needed to verify if the check had been cashed (could have went into another account) and if not, then they needed to re-issue the check. Once again, the problems are with his employer and he is held responsible. Sucks to be him, doesn't it? Who knows if I will get my scheduled check next week. At least this time he is taking it more seriously than he did a year ago. Paying someone elses attorney fees suck.

The blood pressure medicine arrived yesterday in the mail. Took longer than normal this time, but at least I now have it. I especially need it because I have my own school work to complete for Monday and Tuesday night. That will pretty much take up my weekend.

What, it's Wednesday?!?

The work week is half way over. It seems like it has taken forever to even get this far. Finals are next week and then the second semester will begin. That leaves 18 weeks left of school.

The child support check is late. What else is new?

I had to buy my little guy a new winter coat since his zipper broke off again. I ended up purchasing two coats. One I bought was normally $60 and was on sale for $22.49, and the other was $114 on sale for $48. They should both fit him next year and he can use one for just playing around in the snow. Yes, I am particular like that.

My blood pressure medicine hasn't arrived yet. Yikes!

Routine or Flexibility

Back to work, back to school, back to a routine...yuck! However, I suppose that is a good thing. As much as I enjoy the freedom at home with doing what I want when I want, having some type of schedule is ideal. In my life, I have a lot of flexibility, or should I say I deal with uncontrollable circumstances with stride. Yeah, that sounds good.

FYI-my back is so much better. I might go to a chiropractor more often.

It is the beginning of the weekend. Back to school on Monday. I could use one more week off. No more getting out of bed at 9:00...I am just not a morning person. My little man and I have been night owls, plus I can't stop playing Word Up online.

Yesterday we went to the movies and saw Happy Feet. Today we went bowling. For his first time, my little guy scored a 23. Not too bad. Tomorrow we are heading to Chicago with Granny and Gramps...how fun!

Believing

The coming into the New Year was as grand as it could be. Once again, there was no little man to keep me company. I spent the evening at church celebrating the New Year FCC style.
I was ready to leave 2006 behind and looking forward to 2007.

I went to a chiropractor today...my first time ever going to one. I thought I had a pinched nerve in my back. The sharp pain began Sunday and lasted through much of yesterday. By morning today, the pain had dulled quite a bit. I believe in the power of prayer, and that is why the pain diminished as it did. It turned out to be some kind of jam in the joints. I'm back in bed resting just like I did yesterday while I watched The Betty Bowl on Soapnet.

As for resolutions, hmmm, I am just believing that things are going to happen.
