Happy Halloween

The pumpkin got carved with only one mishap-my finger. Anakin Skywalker, aka the little man, opted not to go trick or treating. Communication with the ex will always be non-existent.

It's Been a Week...

Wow-I can't beleive I haven't had a new post in the last six days. Plus, I haven't read any blogs. I only had to work three days last week, had the weekend to myself, yet I never made it to my computer. I take that back, I did, to check my e-mail.

Nonetheless, things are good.

Dentist Beware

It was time for the semi-annual check-up. I checked out just fine. As for the little man, he still has all twenty teeth, none are loose yet, and no cavities. We both now have some shiny, pearly whites!!!

Thursday Thirteen

1. It is Thursday already. I survived my week back at school. Thanks to the get-a-way, I am fortunate enough to still feel refreshed. How could that be?

2. Google's update has messed me up. I need to fix the toolbar so that I can get the spell check button on the toolbar. Does that make sense? Oh wait...I just fixed it!!!

3. This Saturday will be my little man's last soccer and flag football games for the current session. Trophies will be given after the games. Let's hope the rain holds off.

4. Basketball begins in two weeks, it just never stops.

5. It looks as if my little guy has made his decision on his Halloween costume...Anakin Skywalker. He has Jack Sparrow as well, however Star Wars still ranks number one.

6. Haircut appointment is scheduled for tomorrow. I can't wait, it is long overdue.

7. I haven't opened up any bags of Halloween candy, in fact, I have forgotten all about them.

8. I still need to put the whites in the washer. Why am I procrastinating?

9. I was suppose to call Number Twelve. Ooops. Where did the time go?

10. I'm craving some chocolate...there goes the bags of Halloween candy.

11. I need to get my oil changed. Thank goodness it is a Honda.

12. I won't be reading any blogs tonight-sorry.

13. Off to watch Grey's Anatomy and ER. Thursday night has always been my TV night.

My Temperament

You Have a Choleric Temperament

You are a person of great enthusiasm - easily excited by many things.
Unsatisfied by the ordinary, you are reaching for an epic, extraordinary life.
You want the best. The best life. The best love. The best reputation.

You posses a sharp and keen intellect. Your mind is your primary weapon.
Strong willed, nothing can keep you down. Your energy can break down any wall.
You're an instantly passionate person - and this passion gives you an intoxicating power over others.

At your worst, you are a narcissist. Full of yourself and even proud of your faults.
Stubborn and opinionated, you know what you think is right. End of discussion.
A bit of a misanthrope, you often see others as weak, ignorant, and inferior.

R & R Much Deserved

I spent the last four days in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. I apologize for the Europe picture, however I surely didn't want anyone searching for me in my hiding spot. I'm back and well rested. Amazing what a few days and nights away can make. Plus, I survived my getaway rooming with a bunch of woman. Yes, my girlfriends. We had a blast. I haven't laughed that much in a long time. We shopped until we dropped. Ate non-stop. Saw each other at our best and worst. I can't say much more due to the pact we made.

A Peaceful Day

A day spent going to little unique shops, a view of the lake, and of course, a dinner celebration.

Blocked

The time I go to enjoy my little man's soccer game, without having to catch those great picture shots, is the time I missed the perfect one. Saturday he blocked a goal using his head. Okay, it was actually his face. It was so awesome. He was so proud he blocked the ball. It appeared as if he wanted to cry-I'm sure he did-yet he kept on playing. When asked if he was all right by the coach (surely not me) he replied yes and ran down the field. That's my guy!

8 Things About Me

Ganga tagged me last week when he decided to come back to blogging, so how could I refuse.

  1. I have the utmost faith in my God. Without Him I would not be where I am today.
  2. I have never taken an illegal narcotic. I swear. My students don't even believe me.
  3. I am at a point in my life where I feel the most confident. I never thought I could be me again after a divorce. Although i am not entirely the person i once was, I have gained my independence. I no longer will be manipulated.
  4. I have always lived in the Mid-West. My parents will keep me here. And so will my little man's father.
  5. I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol, both inherited. And I thought I was too young to have either health problem.
  6. I enjoy scrap-booking. I am now behind since school has started back up. I have my little man's birthday party, soccer and flag football to do.
  7. I love to eat. I am a total carbohydrate junkie. It is those comfort foods that help me out in those unfortunate moments. Let's not forget the sweets-cheesecake!!!
  8. I love my DVR. Otherwise, I couldn't stay up to date with my shows.

Although I know so much about all of you already, I tag Hannelie, Tab, Sicilian, Tiffanie, LUX, and Kate. Have fun!!

XM Radio

Gee, do I just love listening to XM radio. No commercials, no talk, just music. Channels programmed into memory include 70's, 80's, 90's, 20 on 20 (voted top 20 songs by listeners) The Heart (love songs), Disney (my little man's favorite), some R&B, plus a few others, and the newest one...Oprah & Friends.
