My Season

This is my absolute favorite time of the year-fall/autumn. The weather is cool. The leaves change colors as they fall from the trees, which then I have to clean up while my little man is jumping in them. The smells of spice. Eating apples with caramel dip-yum! Decorating the house with fall items. Pumpkins, carving pumpkins, pumpkin seeds. Bonfires, roasting of marshmallows, Halloween.

What is your season?

Fate

Fate...

Do you ever wonder how our fate is determined? For those of us who believe in a Higher Power, myself included, our fate has already been determined by the Almighty. This being said, all of our faith must be in His hands.

So often though, we want to have the control. We want to do what we think is best for us. It is only human/natural to think that way. However, have you ever let go and felt the serenity that is given?

Sure, we are not going to understand why certain things have happened or are happening, yet if we give God the control over our lives, our fate will be as originally planned. It is all in the faith you have.

As I often look back on my life, I wonder and wonder and wonder why things have happened the way they have. I often regret not having the faith that I do now, more especially, not letting go of the control.

Me

Lately, I have realized that I am me again.

Me being the person who has had her faith restored. Me being the person who is real. Me being happy, confident, and secure. I must give thanks to God. He has given me the strength, guidance, and courage to lift me up again, to make me whole.

I can not express the happiness I have each and every day. That happiness shines through to my little man, which brings me the utmost joy. Being able to spend quality time with him smiling, laughing, and enjoying life is just priceless.

I know I am able to do things. I know I have the ability to initiate and complete any task that is set before me. I am being the leader, not the follower. I am the head, not the tail.

I am a strong, self-suffcient woman. I have never felt a greater sense of security in my life. How powerful is that? Extremely.

Guilty Pleasures

No little man this weekend. I managed to get his picture at the Picture People Friday afternoon before he headed over to his dad's. I needed a 5yr shot besides the one I got done at Glamour Shots. That was his Granny's idea.

Although I was invited out Friday evening, I ended up doing a little shopping. It is just so much easier when my little guy is not around. Going in and out of stores is so much easier, plus faster. When I got home, I caught up with GH episodes.

Saturday was filled with my little man's first soccer and flag football games. It was a beautiful day and lots of fun. I skipped going going to a scrap so that I could "properly" clean while home alone. Before I cleaned though I washed my car despite the fact that it is going to rain more this coming week. I managed to watch episodes of Oprah and The View as well. Most importantly, I soaked in the tub.

I think I have gotten in all my guilty pleasures to make it through the coming week.

Hello Out There

Hello all! Just checking in with all of you. I'm also trying to keep current with your blogs.
If it isn't soccer, then it is football. If it isn't "this" committee, then it is "that" committee. If it isn't individual therapy, then it is the night with the girls.

I'm still trying to find my balance since school has started. I'm getting there.

Road to Success

The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs.
But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

Philippians 4:13 --- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I'm Still Here

I have officially been back to work for two weeks. These past weeks have kept me really busy dealing with move-ins, withdrawals, paperwork, and well, I could go on. It's typical beginning of the school year stuff.

I am so glad it is Friday. So glad there is a 4 day work week ahead. Now that I have gotten myself situated with going back to work, it is time to get the little guy adjusted to school once again. He loves school and is extremely excited to be going back. I only pray that the same excitement carries on next year when he attends school on a daily basis.

No little man this weekend, yet tonight the two of us did go see a movie. His father is going to pick him up in the morning and I will then let the relaxation begin. As much as I will miss him, I need that time for me, because soccer and flag football begin this coming week. That means two nights of practices and two games on Saturdays.

Enjoy your weekend!
