One Year Anniversary

It's official...my one year blog anniversary.
It only took me months to decide to reveal myself to the World Wide Web.
I've published over 200 posts.
My profile views, well hit the 2,000 mark.
As for site meter-since February-just about 7,000 visits.

I never imagined I would have gained the relationships I have with fellow bloggers. That has probably been the best part!!!

Thank You,

8 Days and Counting

It is hard to believe that Christmas is next week. With shopping just about done (cash only), cards in the mail, and wrapping still to do, I need to decide a menu for Christmas day. My little man and I have decided on a ham, red velvet cake, and an oreo cheesecake. Sounds good enough to me. Each night this week we will be making cookies. It feels odd working the whole week, but it will give us two full weeks of vacation.

I'm slowly catching up on reading your blogs. I was tagged a while back and need to complete that as well.

Are you ready?

Whatever

Oh my, where to begin.
An apology to not reading any blogs---I miss what is going on with all of you right now. For some odd reason, these last few weeks have been extremely chaotic.
I need to let off some steam, so I apologize for writing this in advance. Why would you think a five year old would eat dinner at his daycare when he has never done so before? My little guy visits with his father once a week. Drop off time is 5:00. For the last two years, my little guy has usually eaten dinner with his dad on the nights of these visits. Lately, my little man has been coming home hungry, tells me all he ate was cookies, yadda, yadda, yadda. Long story short, it turns out that my son has not been getting dinner on these nights. He has been telling his father that he has already eaten. Yes, he ate at daycare, however that was lunch. So the truth came out when someone got sick and threw up all the cookies he had been eating.
All I can say now is...whatever.

Busy Saturday

Saturday's Activities:

Breakfast with Santa-not only did I have breakfast with my son and Santa, but the ex as well. What a way to start my Saturday.

I then decided to run to Hobby Lobby, Toys R Us, Target, and Circuit City before my little guy's basketball game. He wanted to go with his dad for a bit and I surely didn't argue.

Basketball Game-pictures were in. Next week will be the final game for this 6 week session. It'll also be trophy day.

Birthday party at McDonald's-a fellow pre-school classmate had his birthday party smack dab in the middle of the afternoon at the Golden Arches. I remember having a party at McDonald's. There were not any play lands back then.

Run home, get everything together for a night at Granny's,and change for another party.

Day care Christmas party-the time when all the kids can run around...literally. I was able to work on some Christmas cards I'm making for the girls I meet with on Thursday nights.

Head over to granny's to spend the night. Sunday morning, Gramps took the little man to a train show.

At the age of five, this little guy has a booked calender.

Ahhhhhh...

Thank you all for your advice/support. Eventually I will get to the bottom of this problem, however not tonight. The last two days have been pretty hectic. In fact, I woke up 20 minutes earlier than normal and I left the house 15 minutes later than usual. What is up with that?

Hope to catch up on blogs tomorrow.

Technical Help...Please

Dear fellow bloggers,

I need some help. My comments are not being e-mailed. Yes, I do have that set in my settings. Ever since I switched to the wonderful beta, it has stopped.

Any suggestions?

Faith

Born into Catholicism, I always thought I was a "religious" person. My parents had the finances to send me to a parochial school, which was good for the morals, values, and religion part, however attending a public school was a huge transformation for me. I felt behind academically, socially I went from 25 students in my grade to 500, athletically, well, I felt like an underachiever. Don't get me wrong, I feel I earned a decent education, it's just that the resources weren't available to me in my setting at the parochial school.

I was very involved as a teen in the youth ministry programs. So involved, I was one of the leaders in the Diocese. My outlet in life was my "youth group". By the time I went to college though, most of us in the "youth group" began going our separate ways. I still went to church every Sunday, prayed every day, but that was about it. My spiritual relationship soon began fading away.

Fast forward to 2003. My life began falling apart. I am working in a new environment, surrounded by individuals who are connected to Christ. I was invited to go to a church, a non-denominational church, and I accepted the invitation. An invitation for which I will always be thankful. I became reborn that year. My spiritual re-connection with the Almighty has simply been breath-taking. My submission to the Lord has given me so many blessings over these last few years. Most importantly, having FAITH in God has healed me.

Why do I write this? As a reminder, it takes a great deal of faith to believe and know that what is asked for will be received.
